My question:
If you have kids, would you homeschool them or not? Why?
The reason I am asking this is because I am considering homeschooling my kids for the next school year... I am still praying about it and researching if it is feasible here in the Philippines.

I don'tthink its feasible here in our country...kids needs socializing also.
I was curious about the state of homeschooling in the Philippines (I've gotten several hits on my homeschooling blog from there), so I googled it and found this link: http://www.hslda.org/hs/international/Philippines/200811030.asp
FYI: I am biased. I am a former public school teacher and I am starting my second year of homeschooling my daughter. I love it! My daughter takes dance lessons, is involved in church activities, and is part of a homeschool co-op. Plenty of socialization. And positive socialization at that! Hope it all works out!
If i had children, I think I would homeschool.
I thought about it a lot when they were little but opted not to because I wanted them to socialize every day with other kids.
No way.
I need(ed) my time away and they need(ed) their time away.
Happy Friday!

I will likely send my kids to public school. I think the socialization is important and I'm not prepared to teach them myself.
Preschool or Kindy? Yes. After that, no.
Happy Friday!
I am a teacher. My son is going into 1st grade and after some issues last year I told my husband that I may look into it just in case. Of course, I do not think it would be best for my son and I, but sometimes you have to do things. Good luck with your decision and I hope that I never have to really do it.
I am a former teacher, and I think that homeschooling is fine for some folks if they have a network group and have accountability. I personally wouldn't homeschool my son. I think he needs to learn the skills to cope with various people and meet challenges. I've seen a lot of folks use homeschooling to shield their child and I don't think that necessarily benefits them later on life.
I have a child and No I would not. My brother has Homeschool all of his. i prefer Private early years and good public highschool. Love her but love the down time during school time:-)
I've actually considered it for my oldest because his grades were sliding rapidly down into the toilet. This summer I made both kids do several workbooks a day. It worked fairly well & @ this point I might homeschool him for a year or two. We'll see.
Good luck w/ your decision.
I think it would depend on the schools where I lived. I would homeschool if that was the better option :)
I have 3 teens and no I do not homeschool. We live in an excellent school system and quite honestly I need break from them and they from me.
Not me. I give credit to anyone who homeschools but I know I don't have the patience for it. It would be recess all day!

I would love to homeschool. Dh doesn't want this so they'll go to public school. Maybe something will happen for him to change his mind on this.
It's a huge commitment. I also think it's important for kids to learn how to learn from other people, not just mom or dad. Relationships are key in life and I've seen many times where home schooled kids have not developed the skill of relationships.
