Romans 12:2
This verse is a constant reminder to me that my mind should be transforming daily to become more Christ-like. Once my mind is transformed, then I will be able to tell what God wants me to do on my daily decisions.

At the Well - A Family Vision
Today's gathering at the well is written by Chelsey. She posted the following questions for us to ponder upon:
Why does having a family vision matter?
If you have not considered having a family vision, what are some steps you can take towards it?
This reminds me that as husband and wife, hubby and I have created a vision for our marriage 7 years ago... a year after we got married. We attended a marriage seminar which encouraged us to create a vision for our partners and our marriage. I am sharing our vision to you.
Its been a long while, since we have revisited this together. Today's post reminded me to look back and check on where our family is headed. So far, God has answered my vision for hubby. He is now a pastor (though I didnt know then that my vision for him was to be a pastor, I just prayed 1 Timothy 3 for him). As for our marriage, so far so good. All we want is that God be glorified in our lives and in our family.
So, I encourage you, to also pray for your spouse and your family. God hears our prayers. He is alive.

My birthday is still very far. But I just wanted to share my thoughts - I would want to be able to enroll in a photography class/be trained by a photographer so I can learn to use my DSLR camera wisely!

Thankful Thursday # 7
> I am grateful that I am meeting with 3 other ladies every week for discipleship. It has been quite hard for me to find new friends since we have moved here to Sta Rosa 4 years ago, and I am glad that God has given me Christian friends who support and encourage me. They also act as my accountability partners. <
> I am also thankful for Facebook that I am able to stay in touch with friends from high school, college and even old colleagues from work. I have lost touch with many of them but this social networking site has really helped me in being in contact with them once again. <

Looking Forward
Titus 2:12-13
The Bible has given us clear instructions as to how we are to live in this world. Wisdom, righteousness and devotion to God will guide us in our daily journey. We are also to remember that this is just our temporary "home"... we should be looking forward to the day when Jesus Christ comes back.
Are we still looking forward to that event? Or are we too attached with our eartly life?

Making Your Home Sing : Helping In The House
Being the mom, your kids expect you to know where the toys, things, books or anything they need. I don't like clutter. And it really annoys me whenever I can't find something. So how do I make my home sing? I try to organize their toys. Since I have one boy and one girl, I try my best to classify their toys. I put all toys belonging to my little girl in her own box and the toys of my boy in his own box. Then I also encourage both children to keep their toys when they are finished playing. I ask them to help mommy to tidy up. It can be quite challenging. But I really think that it would be good discipline to start training the kids with little household tasks such as keeping their toys. So hopefully, as they grow, they would carry this habit.
How about you? How do you teach or encourage your kids to help in the house?

Three Things!
1. I am Chinese by blood (both parents are Chinese, Filipino (born and raised here in the Philippines) by heart.
2. I have a Filipino husband. At the beginning, my parents opposed to us since he is of a different race. But, God worked out everything.
3. I learned American Sign Language in college. I really enjoyed it. I had a lot of Deaf friends, but haven't seen them or been with them since I graduated.
I hope to know more about you too! I am joining the weekly blog hop!

Architect, as we know her in blogsphere, is the author of this site! She was one of the very first people who was truly helpful to me when I started blogging. She also helped me to start out in paid blogging. When she is not so busy with her work, she holds giveaways too! She also posts about her adventures with her daughter.
Architect, do grab this button below and post it on your site! You have been an inspiration to me when I was just starting out. Thanks for all the help!

What I Learned From Do Hard Things #2
In a society where teenagers are expected to be "typical teenagers", Do Hard Things challenges all teens to do hard things. What kind of hard things?
1. Things that are outside one's comfort zone.
These are actions which take one away from what one is used to. This can be scary but these usually makes good memories! They make one grow.
2. Things that go beyond what is expected or required. These actions rely on one's initiative to do things.
3. Things that are too big to accomplish alone. These are big actions, big projects, big causes. This action causes one to share his passion with others.
4. Thing that don't earn immediate pay off. These are little things or tasks that no one else notices or knows about. Examples are spiritual disciplines, good study habits, controlling one's self, doing the right things.
5. Things that challenge the cultural norm. These are choices that go against "what everyone else is doing". Examples are dressing modestly, saying no to premarital sex, drinking excessively, taking a stand for your faith, not watching pornography. This choices can make you rather unpopular.
I think this is a great book not only for teenagers, but for parents too. It gives us practical steps so we can make a difference with the life God has given us. Definitely worth reading.
