Making Your Home Sing : Lunch Dilemna

Making your home sing Mondays

I definitely think this Monday meme is a challenge! We are to post about what we are doing to make our home sing... so every Monday, I really think about what I want to do this week to make my home a better place for my family.

My daughter has just started school again and from morning class she is now in the 11am-2pm class. It is a tough adjustment since she has to take her lunch at school. My daughter is a picky eater and for the past week, she has only finished her food once. I am worried because she might lose more weight and might be hungry and become inattentive in school.

Well, instead of worrying about this, since I can be a worry wart at times. I have started to pray about it and ask God's wisdom first. I will try to use different container to see if the food will stay warm. Or I could try to let her eat lunch at the house before going to school and just let her bring snacks.

I know my post is very trivial but for me, its kind of occupying a big space in my mind.... In little things, most of the time, I just go-go-go, but as I have learned in the past, I should always pray to God for wisdom about all things.

Oh, I think eating an early lunch is a good idea -- then send her some extra stuff in case she gets hungry.

I pray it will all work out for you and your little one.

Things like that bothered me when my children were younger, too. I always worried when they would forget their lunch or went without a meal because I wasn't there to make sure they ate. Eating before your daughter leaves for school is the perfect solution. And, you are wise to trust God in everything. Great post.

I don't think it's trivial at all! We care about what our kids eat. The Lord wants us to bring our cares to Him, and He does help!

You will find a solution that works best for you. My kids loved things like crackers and cheese and grapes and carrots. Just quick easy things to eat.

Sometimes they liked sandwiches, but alot of time they just didn't eat much.

We homeschooled so I am talking about field trips and stuff, as they always ate lunch at home unless on a field trip or at daycamp or something.

Thank you for joining us today!
