It is so easy to say it... but sometimes, it can get really hard to do! I remember using this verse to inspire my kids to obey what I command them to do... and it has really been effective too! I also try to remind them, it is the same way with God too. If we truly love Him, it wont be so difficult with us to obey Him.

ReplyDeleteSo true!! It's a great lesson for us too when our kids don't obey us (and how much it can hurt us). I can imagine how Jesus feels when we disobey him.

ReplyDeleteWhy is it that something so simple "If you love Me, keep My commandments", so difficult to do at times? ANd even though I KNOW it hurts Jesus, I still find myself doing it sometimes. SIGH!
